One of the biggest additions to theXv5lineup is also the smallest.

The Xv5-8 is the first 8" subwoofer FI Car Audio has ever offered, bringing something completely new to the FI lineup while remaining unmistakably FI. Built from the ground up as a true 8" platform, theXv5-8 utilizes a dual-stacked ferrite motor, 2" 4-layer D1/D2 voice coil, dual 6.3" progressive spiders with a spacer, and a high-roll surround, with power handling rated at 500 watts RMS.

It's a completely new size and platform for FI, built for applications where space and cone area are limited but customers still want the construction, appearance, and performance philosophy of an FI subwoofer.

For the larger models, theXv5-10,Xv5-12,Xv5-15, andXv5-18 utilize a 3" 4-layer D1/D2 voice coil and are rated at 1500 watts RMS. The 15" and 18" models receive an additional 12mm—or approximately 1/2"—of voice coil winding to accommodate their larger suspension systems and the additional movement available from those platforms. Combined with their dual-stacked ferrite motor structures, eachXv5is built around the requirements of its specific cone and suspension size rather than simply using the exact same moving assembly across the lineup.

Suspension throughout theXv5lineup is built around dual progressive spiders with an integrated spider spacer, with each suspension sized specifically for the application. TheXv5-8 utilizes dual 6.3" progressive spiders, the 10" and 12" use dual 7.5" progressive spiders, and the 15" and 18" step up to larger dual 8.25" progressive spiders. To complement that larger suspension and its available movement, the 15" and 18" also utilize the additional 12mm of voice coil winding, allowing the coil and suspension to work together as a complete system.

TheXv5-8 also features a high-roll surround, providing the clearance needed for the smaller-diameter platform to achieve its intended excursion. Across the entireXv5lineup, the surround is reinforced at the cone with a stitched surround-to-cone joint, adding mechanical strength to one of the most highly stressed areas of the moving assembly.

EveryXv5is finished with a standard carbon fiber dust cap, maintaining the clean, recognizable FI appearance across the entire series.

From the all-new 8"—a size never before offered by FI—to the massive 18", theXv5lineup is the most complete X Series yet. Each size is purpose-built around its specific platform, giving customers the ability to choose the space, cone area, and output their system demands while maintaining the same core X Series philosophy.

The goal with V5 is simple: continue refining one of FI's most versatile subwoofer platforms while expanding what the X Series can be—without losing the performance, durability, value, and unmistakable FI DNA that have always defined it.

Warranty SPEAKER SYSTEMS LIMITED WARRANTY ​ Fi Car Audio warrants this product* to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of 1 year from date of original purchase with receipt. In all cases you must have the original receipt! Should service be necessary under this warranty for any reason due to manufacturing defect or malfunction during the warranty period, Fi Car Audio will repair (at its discretion) the defective merchandise at no charge. This warranty is valid only for the ORIGINAL PURCHASER and is not extended to owners of the product subsequent to the original purchaser. Any applicable implied warranties are limited in duration to a period of the express warranty as provided herein beginning with the date of the original purchase at retail, and no warranties, whether express or implied, shall apply to this product thereafter. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties; therefore these exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; however you may have other rights that vary from state to state. ​ WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED WARRANTY OR SERVICE Defective merchandise should be returned to Fi Car Audio for warranty. Please contact the support department for a Return Authorization (RMA) number. Package all defective items in the original container or in a package that will prevent shipping damage. Failure to return the merchandise in its original packaging will result in a new packaging/handling charge being processed at the time the product is shipped back to you. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package. Freight must be prepaid; items sent freight collect, or COD, will be refused. If the product sent for warranty service is found defective under our warranty policy, we will return the product freight prepaid to you. If the product is not covered under warranty, you will be notified of the repair and shipping costs and said costs must be paid before any service is made on the product. ​ Failure to follow these steps may void your warranty. Any questions can be directed to the sales department via support@ficaraudio.com. ​ WHAT IS NOT COVERED? ​ This warranty is valid only if the product is used for the purpose for which it was designed.* (outside of arriving in proper working condition after shipping) Damage due to improper installation. Subsequent damage to other components. Exposure to moisture, excessive heat, chemical cleaners, and/or UV radiation. Negligence, misuse, accident or abuse. Repeated returns for the same damage will be considered abuse. Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of product. Speakers damaged due to amplifier clipping or distortion. Burnt or open voice coils. Ripped, torn, or burnt spiders, lead wire, cones, or surrounds. Items previously repaired or modified by any unauthorized repair facility. Return shipping on non-defective items. Products returned without a Return Authorization (RMA) number. Freight Damage. The cost of shipping products to Fi Car Audio. Service performed by anyone other than Fi Car Audio or an affiliated repair facility.
